## Track what customers owe and what the business owes

Turn posted sales and purchase documents into controlled receivable and payable balances, then settle them through recorded payments and aging reports.

## Know what customers still owe.

Receivables begin when a posted customer document creates an open balance and end as receipts and linked adjustments reduce that balance.

### Customer master

Store customer identity and tax number for reuse across documents.

### Sales invoices

Posted receivable documents create open customer balances.

### Customer receipts

Record money received into a selected Accounting cash or bank account.

### Aging

See how long open balances have remained outstanding.

### Credit notes & returns

Use linked adjustments rather than rewriting the original posted document.

### Customer balances

Review document counts and open balances by customer.

## Know what the business still owes suppliers.

Payables track supplier obligations from posted purchase documents through settlement.

### Supplier master

Store supplier details once and reuse them in purchase documents.

### Supplier bills

Posted bills create open supplier balances.

### Supplier payments

Record settlement against the payable balance and selected Accounting cash or bank account.

Segment unpaid supplier documents by overdue age.

### Debit notes & returns

Record purchase-side adjustments without deleting history.

### Supplier balances

Review bills and outstanding balances by supplier.

## Documents create balances; payments settle them.

This separation preserves the commercial document and its subsequent settlement history.

## Open balances become actionable collection and payment information.

The report set supports both document aging and party-level summaries.

## Installment Plans Sold and Accounting Receivables are related ideas, not the same ledger.

Triplem VIP keeps the operational installment schedule distinct from formal Accounts Receivable unless the user records the corresponding Accounting document and payment workflow.

A Sold installment plan can show who is expected to pay, advances received, installment receipts and the remaining operational receivable. Accounting AR/AP remains document- and posting-driven for formal books, aging and financial statements.
