## A disciplined month-end close from daily records to formal financial review

Use one repeatable sequence to reconcile operating records, review formal books, investigate exceptions and preserve a clean month-end evidence trail.

## Close the month in an order that exposes problems before reports are trusted.

The useful close is not a single report button. It is a controlled review of cash and wallet evidence, counterpart balances, operational modules, formal journals and final statements.

### 1. Cash, wallets and banks

Review wallet movements, receiving, expenses and internal transfers, then reconcile imported bank evidence against posted accounting journals where formal Accounting is used.

### 2. Receivables and payables

Review customer and supplier balances, aging, payments and unresolved documents. Keep operational installment receivables separate from formal AR unless explicitly posted into Accounting.

### 3. Loans and installments

Confirm principal direction, repayments, returns, outstanding balances and installment schedules so cash movement is not mistaken for income or expense.

## Reconcile the operational modules that can distort a month-end picture when left stale.

Inventory, assets, depreciation, VAT classifications and pending documents should be reviewed before relying on month-end profit or balance figures.

- Review inventory quantities, purchases, sales and unresolved invoices.
- Review asset costs, income, expenses, sale/disposal status and depreciation schedules.
- Inspect VAT classifications and tax-code application before relying on summary figures.
- Resolve draft or unposted accounting items before final statements.

## Use the accounting statements as the conclusion, not the starting point.

After reconciliation, review Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, General Ledger, aging and other supporting reports. Investigate unexpected balances before applying a Books Lock Date or treating the period as finalized.

Triplem VIP supports financial organization and review; statutory close, tax filing and assurance requirements remain jurisdiction-specific.
