Asset management

Asset management from acquisition to depreciation, income, cost and disposal

Keep ordinary assets and depreciation assets organized with operational wallet choices, transaction history, profitability views, book-value schedules and report exports.

Owned assets Depreciation Wallet choice PDF reports

Manage owned value as a living record, not just a purchase receipt.

Asset Management keeps acquisition information together with subsequent income, costs and the eventual outcome of the asset.

Purchase profile

Store asset name, purchase amount, currency and other ownership details.

Wallet deduction choice

Deduct the purchase from a matching operational wallet or deliberately skip the wallet effect.

Revenue

Record income generated by an asset and retain it in the asset history.

Expenses

Track maintenance, repairs and other asset-related operating costs.

Sale or disposal

Record the exit from the asset and preserve the financial result.

Profit / loss views

Review purchase cost, revenue, expenses and sale outcome with charts and summaries.

Measure value consumption over useful life.

Depreciation Assets adds a formal operational schedule for assets whose carrying value changes over time.

Monthly & annual depreciation

Calculate periodic depreciation from purchase cost, residual value, useful life and date assumptions.

Accumulated depreciation

See total depreciation recognized through the selected point in the asset life.

Book value

Follow the remaining carrying value after accumulated depreciation.

Remaining life

See the useful life still remaining under the configured schedule.

History & usage

Maintain depreciation-related history and supported usage records per asset.

Purchase wallet option

Use a matching operational wallet deduction or skip it, preserving user choice.

Download reports appropriate to the asset question you are answering.

Triplem VIP provides different report depths instead of forcing every asset into one generic export.

Portfolio summary

Create summary and detailed portfolio PDFs for standard assets.

Per-asset detail

Generate full, revenue-focused and expense-focused reports for individual assets.

Depreciation schedule

Download the full depreciation schedule for a depreciation asset.

Yearly summary

Review annual depreciation movement without reading every monthly line.

Valuation

Export current depreciation assumptions and book-value information.

Disposal report

When sold or disposed, create a report describing the asset’s closing position.

Asset Management is operational; formal Fixed Assets accounting remains separate.

The current separation avoids rewriting historical asset records into Accounting ERP without an explicit migration strategy.

Current behavior

Creating or depreciating an asset in Asset Management does not automatically post Fixed Assets, Accumulated Depreciation, Depreciation Expense, Cash or Bank journals in Accounting ERP. Formal accounts should be posted separately when required for financial statements.

Practical questions about asset management.

The answers below describe the current Triplem VIP workspace and the boundaries of this operational module.

What kinds of assets can I track?

Triplem VIP can be used for operational assets such as vehicles, property, equipment and investments, with purchase information, revenue, expenses, sale or disposal information and profitability views.

Does Triplem VIP support depreciation assets?

Yes. A separate Depreciation Assets workflow calculates monthly and annual depreciation, accumulated depreciation, book value and remaining useful life from the configured asset assumptions.

Can asset purchase cost be deducted from a wallet?

The current asset and depreciation-asset creation workflows can use a same-currency operational wallet deduction or skip the deduction when the user does not want to affect an operational wallet.

What PDF reports are available for assets?

Standard assets support portfolio and per-asset PDF reporting, while depreciation assets support overview, full schedule, yearly summary, valuation and, where applicable, disposal reporting.
